Dooars is the foothills of the eastern Himalayas of northeast India and the gateway to Bhutan. The name Dooars comes from Duar meaning the word door as it is the gateway to Bhutan. It is full of rare species of flora and fauna, eco-parks, and lush greenery. Dooars is a beautiful place filled with scenic beauty, natural hotspots, and ecological reserves and is divided by the majestic Teesta River. Best Time To Visit Dooars

Dooars is a splendid tourist attraction any day of the year but people normally travel most from October to March to enjoy pleasant weather with plenty of cool breezes. Some tourists also prefer to travel from April to June as the season offers hot weather and high humidity.

Gorumara National Park

The Gorumara National Park of Northern West Bengal is a Wildlife sanctuary known for its breeding and population of Indian rhinoceros. It is a medium-sized park with beautiful grasslands and majestic forests. This sanctuary contains various animals including panthers, reptiles, elephants, and birds.


Alipurduar

Situated on the north bank of the Kaljani river Alipurduar is the entrance to Bhutan and the northeastern states of India. Containing the highest peak of the Chhota Sinchula area, the place offers beautiful views of the majestic forest covers of the Bhutan valley and Buxa hills.
