Tiger Hill

Standing tall at a height of 2950 meters and about km away from Darjeeling is a hill most know for its view of the sunrise. Tiger Hill which is also known for its trekking routes and the panoramic view of Mt Everest and Kanchenjunga is one of the most famous attractions of Darjeeling. This beautiful view of the snow-shrouded mountains sitting among cotton clouds attracts lots of tourists.


Batasia Loop

Batasia Loop is a beautiful pathway that was made to reduce the elevation of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway or the toy train. This place offers an amazing 360-degree view of the valley and the mountains. About 5 kilometers away from the main Darjeeling town, just underneath Ghoom is where this alluring loop is located. In the center of the loop a war memorial stands which pays tribute to the great and courageous Gorkha soldiers.

Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park

The Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park or the Darjeeling zoo is the largest high-altitude zoo in India. The zoo keeps animals adapted to colder conditions and is well known for having successfully bred the snow leopard, the critically endangered Himalayan wolf, and the Red Panda. First established in the year 1958 its goal was to preserve and study the Himalayan fauna. This park is undoubtedly very beautiful and one of the top tourist destinations of Darjeeling.


Himalayan Mountaineering Institute

The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute or the HMI was built as a tribute to Tenzing Norgay so that he could teach other aspiring mountaineers to climb well. The HMI has a picturesque setting and a beautiful view of the Kanchenjunga. This institute also has a well-stocked museum full of mountaineering artifacts, restaurants, a souvenir shop, and much more.

Peace Pagoda

The Peace Pagoda is a beautiful Buddhist monument created to inspire peace, harmony, and goodwill among all kinds of people. Located on the slopes of Jalapahar hills this historic monument holds the four avatars of Buddha. This place has a peaceful ambiance and is an amazing experience.


Rock Garden

This garden is a very popular picnic spot and one of the most beautiful places in Darjeeling. This artificial garden is surrounded by breathtaking views of hills, waterfalls, flora, and fauna. Full of appealing flowers and charming greenery this garden is a must-visit.

The closest airport near Darjeeling is the Bagdogra airport at a distance of almost 95 kilometers from Darjeeling. After reaching Bagdogra it takes about 3 hours to reach.
